Augustus- Rome's 1st emperor. expanded land by adding territories.
Claudius- Conquered Britain
Nero- Insane ruler, murdered his mother and wife and threw thousands of Christians to lions.
Titus- Before he was emperor, he destroyed the Jewish temple of Solomon in Jerusalem.
Hadrian- He built the Hadrian's wall in the north of Britain to shield the area from barbarian invasions.
Diocletian- Split the empire into eastern and western halves.
Constantine- First Christian emperor, united empire and moved the capital to Byzantium which he renamed Constantinople.
Romulus Augustus- Last emperor of Rome.
Justinian- The last "great" emperor. conquered territory and created Justinian's Code.
